Here's what our Camper Families are saying:

At Camp Wightman I made awesome friends. I wish I could spend the whole summer there.  -- Young Teen Camper

I loved summer camp as a child, so it is deeply gratifying to watch my own child  develop a sense of independence and competence at camp....the value of being outdoors, making new friends, and growing in faith remain a constant.  -- Camper Mom

Camp Wightman has lived up to everything we heard about it. It is a safe, friendly environment and our daughter really feels as if she is part of the Camp Wightman family -- No summer is complete without at least one session of camp. As a parent, I'm happy she can spend time making new friends and lots of memories! No electronics, no worries (aka social media),  just good old fashioned fun!!  -- Teen Camper Mom

My daughter deals with anxiety issues and missed home while at camp this year. The staff were incredibly good with her and helpful to her. Thank you!  -- Camper Mom

My son was concerned his lack of church experience would be an issue. Though the Christian tradition was largely unfamiliar, the message of love and stewardship was not, and therefore not intimidating to this first time Wightman camper. He had a great week and immediately wanted to sign up for a two week session next summer. We took home a Wightman "lifer" -- just like his dad (that's me)!  -- First-time Camper Dad

As a result of being at camp, my daughter is more in touch with God's grace. Being in an environment that is safe from the sometimes harsh interactions teenagers experience at school, she is able at camp to experience God's presence in fellowship with others. This camp experience is something she carries back with her when she steps into the rest of the world where she is then able to show others compassion, understanding and forgiveness. That is not something many teenagers are able to do. Camp Wightman has been a tremendous blessing to her.  -- Young Teen Camper Mom

When our kids get home they are distanced from electronic devices and less inclined to watch tv or play on their kindles. They spend more time outside. And having gotten into the habit at camp, they relate and talk to each other with more interest and patience.  -- Sibling Campers Mom and Dad

My son has renewed interest in church experiences. He is more involved and positive in church now than ever and I believe this is due to his time at camp. He loved the Bible exploration times with his counselor and boys in his cabin, as well as chapel times after dinner each night. Thank you! -- Camper Mom

Before camp this summer, our children were not comfortable leaving our side and being somewhere alone. In as little as one or two nights their first time at Camp Wightman, that all changed. They grew from the experience, made new friends, were comfortable sleeping somewhere by themselves, going about their day independently. When we picked them up each week (they attended several weeks), we listened to their new experiences, the things they learned and had tried. They enjoyed telling us about their religious experiences at camp, the new stuff they had learned, and the songs they sang. Each week, we felt our children grew to become more independent, self-confident, and internally, a little happier. Much like myself (I'm their dad), I feel it will be an experience that they will never forget.   -- Sibling Campers Dad

My girls have always been interested in Mass, and I've done my best to raise kind, caring young ladies. I think CW helps with that in amazing ways that they really enjoy. At camp, everyone cares about one another and there isn't any drama. They really enjoy campfires, Morning Watch, BE (Bible time with their cabin) and Evening Chapel. Thank you!  -- Sibling Campers Mom
